In 2015, I was asked by his beautiful soul to be a part of her upcoming CD. Her name is Iman Heart and Soul. She is a wife, mother, songstress, incredible musician, producer and a survivor of a rare condition where the skull puts pressure on the brain....Chiari Malformation.
In 2011, I wrote a poem for a character I played in the short film, "Sideshow". What an amazing experience! Even more amazing was the feeling I felt as I sat the the Riveroaks Theater watching myself on the wide screen and listening to the audience as they watched my words become life. Of course, I had to take a couple of snapshots of the movie screen to validate the surreal moment... "Sideshow" was released in 2013.
There has never been a more humbling experience than the very moment when
you realize that your reality is a result of being held accountable for your
actions....
Karma just doesn't apply to physical relationships.
There is a "cause & effect" to every to every action and reaction and right
now is my "ah-ha" moment.
I've been unfaithful in my relationship ...with Christ.
And even though my God is a forgiving God...
Even though He is a God of grace & mercy.
Even though He is a God of unconditional love....
He is still a jealous God.
And I owe Him an apology. I owe him more than just words on a piece of
paper, more than the sound of my voice uttering the words "Lord I'm
sorry"...
I owe Him my heart.
A true confession from the depths of my soul, Lord I'm not asking that you
take total control because as an act of my own free will... I acknowledge
that I have sinned and fell short of Your glory. Lord from my soul, I...
Am....
Truly Sorry....
And like a child disciplined and told by his father, I know better.
You raised me better than this.
So as of right now God, no more excuses. I'm done with no longer
acknowledging you. I'm done with no longer giving you praise. I'm done with
no longer thanking you for all of the little blessings in life. From this
very moment, I strive to be, the woman that you created me to be.
Lord...forgive me
