I'm so excited! Welcome to my blog. My name is Kanita R. Turner. I am also known as Emoetry Speaks the Poet and I love life, everything natural, and the arts (mostly jazz & poetry).  I chose Valentine's Day to be the official release (LIVE) date of this blog because I wanted to dedicate my first post to my biggest fan and supporter, my husband. I get asked quite often how exciting & glamorous my life must be being married to a well known jazz musician but what some of you don't realize is that, as artists, what you see is a display of what God gave us to share with the world in the form of a talent that we're passionate about to entertain, lift your spirits and encourage. You may rarely if not ever see who we truly are off stage.  When I met my husband, I didn't meet the man I married.
